The 2023 Ryder Cup begins on Friday morning with the foursomes. Foursomes, if you are unfamiliar with the term, is alternate shot. The afternoon session will be a fourball game (best ball).
The opening matches of the Marco Simone Golf and Country Club, in Rome, will feature several star-studded duos, including Xander Schwiefele/Patrick Cantlay; Rory McIlroy/Tommy Fleetwood and Jon Rahm/Tyrrell Hatte.
