Collin Morikawa has officially become a 25-million dollar man on the PGA Tour.
The 26-year old shot , the lowest round of the tournament, on Sunday. A bogey free 63 was recorded at Accordia Narashino County Club, northeast of Tokyo. He won the Zozo Championship with six strokes.
Morikawa’s career earnings on the PGA Tour jumped to $26,276,135. Morikawa won five times during his first 39 professional starts on the Tour, but had gone 46 consecutive starts without a victory.
Beau Hossler, Eric Cole and others were all vying for their first Tour titles but both shot 70s to tie for second. Hossler finished in second place for the third time in his career and consolidated his position in the top fifty of the FedEx Cup fall. Cole placed second for the second consecutive season. Both earned $748,000.
The defending champion Keegan Bradly finished T-19, while Japan’s favorite Hideki Matsuyama was T-51. Rickie Foller, a fan favorite, came in T-64. The final earnings are shown below.
