5. Block gets big offer for hole-in-one 7-iron

Andrew Tursky …”I met Block in Texas on Tuesday to learn more about the equipment setup he used during his dream PGA Championship Week. Block revealed that he has received a $50,000 offer from Block for the 7 iron he used to hit the hole-in one. He’s had many offers of money, but $50,000 has been the most recent. He said that the PGA of America wanted the iron displayed, but he wasn’t sure yet what he would do with it.

  • The 2023 Charles Schwab Challenge is this week. It’s still in its bag, but the face has been worn down by 10 years of use.
  • Here’s what he said on Tuesday, when he spoke with GolfWRX.
  • “I know exactly what they are going to do.” Period. They don’t go further. It’s nothing to do. I’ve tried a bunch of TaylorMade irons. The new MCs. The new MC’s feel great, and they do. But, I’ve always known what my irons, wedges, and putter will do. Especially under pressure. You need to know what will happen when there is pressure. I have tried to introduce new things under pressure and they’ve all failed.
  • “I did it myself (put lead tape on irons). This was maybe about 4 or 5 year ago. It was just a few years ago that they started to feel lighter. I’m not sure if all the grooves had worn away. They started to feel lighter in my hands. I just do it randomly. Look at my putter or inside my putter. I’m sure it’s random. I am a guy who feels things. You can see me swing. You can see my swing. They’re good. They’ve been good. “No (I haven’t changed my irons since).

6. Brandel’s coach speaks out against Koepka

Adam Schupak, Golfweek …”Harmon has saved his spiciest take for the media. He is a part of the media himself having worked for Sky Sports over the years and hosting his podcast “Son of a Butch”, including this one on Brandel Chablee and Golfweek’s Eamon Lynch.”

  • “Brandel is a professional actor for NBC and Golf Channel. He’s just trying to get lines for Brandel and his shows on the Golf Channel. He is just trying to get Brandel lines and shows for the Golf Channel. I love Eamon, and I think Eamon’s a great writer, but I don’t understand why Eamon and Brandel, who work for NBC Golf Channel, would utter words like’sportswashing’ when their company televised both the Winter Olympics held in Russia and China, with the same leadership. They weren’t good leaders then. It’s not as if Putin was a nice guy back then, right?”

Haugejorde has signed OCM Golf, a team of PGA Tour pros Geoff Ogilvy and Mike Cocking, to create its first original U.S. golf course design. 8. PGA ratings hit 15-year low

Brooks Koepka probably doesn’t care about the television ratings for the final 2023 PGA Championship round. It’s different when it comes to the network who broadcasted the round, CBS, as well as the viewership figures reported for Sunday’s Oak Hill Country Club action.

  • According to Sports Business Journal & Sports Media Watch, CBS drew a total of 4.517 millions viewers for Koepka’s win on Sunday. This is the lowest number of viewers for a PGA Championship final round on CBS since 2008. Padraig Harrington beat Sergio Garcia & Ben Curtis in Oakland Hills, claiming his third major championship.
