The Old Course Swilcan Bridge is 700-800 years old. The Swilcan was originally used to allow livestock to cross the burn. It has been frequently used by some of the best players in the game to say goodbye. Jack Nicklaus and Tom Watson, as well as Tiger Woods, used the Swilcan to say goodbye. Only time will tell if this was Woods’ last curtain call at St. Andrews.
It is a keystone of the game, and should not be lost — or so we thought.
Recent photos show that a garden patio was added to the entrance.
What are your thoughts about the changes? What should it have been?
You can see it from different angles. That area always got quite worn so this is the solution I guess pic.twitter.com/KpzT9OfL8O
