A report states that Miami-Dade Police arrested and took to jail a former PGA Tour Player Erik Compton after a domestic incident last weekend.
According to a story from the local station WSVN during an argument, Compton allegedly threw Compton’s wife into a brick wall and her cellphone into their swimming pool. Compton was charged with domestic violence and strongarm robbery.
Compton, who was diagnosed with viral Cardiomyopathy when he had just turned 12, has had two heart transplants: one in 1992 and the other in 2008. Compton is a journeyman in professional golf. He has won on the Korn Ferry Tour (formerly NGA Hooters Tour), Canadian Tour, and the former NGA Hooters Tour. However, he never made it to the PGA Tour.

Compton’s two Tour starts in this year saw him finish T-29 at Corales Puntacana Championship, and T-63 Charles Schwab Challenge. Compton missed the cut at his only two starts last year, the Honda Classic and Charles Schwab. He hasn’t participated in more than 2 events since 2015-16.
