Tiger Woods fans eagerly await news about his 2023 debut.
Woods only played in nine competitive rounds last year due to a foot injury that severely limited his ability play at a high standard. After a strong start to The Masters, Tiger finished 47th. However, he had to withdraw from the PGA Championship and then failed to make it to the cut at The Open Championship in St. Andrews.
Woods played in the PNC Championship alongside his son Charlie, but was able take a cart to that event. In December, he withdrew from Hero World Challenge.
Many speculate that the 15-time major champion will make a season debut at The Genesis Invitational. He is the tournament’s host.
@TWlegion shared on Twitter that there are “signs for life” regarding Woods’ playing of the Genesis
Based on the information I have, there are some signs of life for Genesis. However, it is not clear if a decision has yet been made. This week will reveal if Tiger will be playing his first official PGA TOUR after the accident. I’m not sure I would be too excited about either of these things.

It’s not surprising that Tiger would love to play at Riviera as the host of the event. Woods has never won at this course in his entire career. He failed to win on the track in 11 attempts. We should get a good idea of Woods’ game if he decides to play at Riviera.
The PLAYERS Championship, which begins March 9th, is the next obvious place Tiger could return.
