Rob Gronkowski may not be a great golfer but he is enjoying a day at Valspar Championship.
Gronk answered some questions from the media at Innsbrook’s Copperhead Course on Friday. It sounds like Gronk is enjoying Palm Harbor, Florida.
He said, “So I went to Valspar last season and had a great time.” It’s a great place to play golf and it’s also a wonderful place to stay. While I was watching others play golf, I was also playing cornhole. Because I love activities, I was able to participate in some activities. I won some games of cornhole against — some Lightning guys. I actually beat them in cornhole.

Gronk isn’t a great golfer, but he has lofty goals.
He said that he played only one round of golf over the six years. “I have been playing a lot on the simulators up north. I’ve been getting better. I can tell you that those simulators are the best. They feel very precise to my knowledge.
“Putt-putt is my favorite thing to do. However, I have to tell you that I am still young and living a fast life. But, I am starting to relax more and golf will be one of my favorite games in the future. I will eventually be playing in pro-ams. I think I will be a par player one day. In 15 years, I will be playing par.
Gronk has not had the opportunity to play with any of the current PGA Tour players but he has been able to have a few encounters with great golfers over the years.
“I have never met any professional golfers. I haven’t. No, not in person. One time, I was able to meet Tiger Woods quickly. Gronkowski stated that he was playing in the New England big golf tournament and was training at our facility. “Oh, yeah. And he just walked past, and I said: What up Tiger? He said, “What up, Gronk?” I smiled and shook his hands. That’s the only professional man I’ve ever met.
“But Shooter McGavin was actually someone I had met before and, if you’re honest with me, he is the No. I met Shooter.” I met Shooter.”
Gronk was asked about his menu for the Champions Dinner, as he is hosting it in the weeks leading up to the Masters.
He said, “My menu would include cheeseburgers and chicken finger subs, Buffalo wings, blue cheese on the side, and ofcourse my lovely iceshaker right here with an Ice Cold beverage inside. Just getting a little bit tipsy at all time, baby.”
