Forner New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski left a lasting legacy at the NFL and now looks to be making his mark in the golfing world.
Bill Belichick, ‘Gronks’ former Patriots head coach said, “his daily attitude, unmistakably positive energy wherever he went and toward whoever he touched will never be forgotten,” and Gronkowski certainly showed that lust for life at the Valspar Championship over the weekend.
Golf’s Sean Zak posted a brief clip of the moment reporters caught up with the four-time Super Bowl champion, with the headline, “10 outta 10, no notes.”
In the clip, Gronk starts by mentioning his meet with Shooter McGavin, the legendary arch-rival of Happy Gilmore in the infamous 1996 golf movie of the same name.
Gronk states:
“If you ask me, he’s the No. 1 most professional golf guy ever. I met SHOOT-AH,” before following the line with gun-shoot sound effects.
He’s then asked if he could choose his [Masters] menu, what would it be?
“My menu would be cheeseburgers, chicken finger subs, buffalo wings with blue cheese on the side, and of course, my lovely ice shaker right here with an ice cold beverage inside, just getting a little tipsy at all times, baby.”

The interview finishes with Gronk asking, “Is that what you meant by ‘menu’? Food?” before acknowledging that his choice of dishes is not far away from the official meal set by the defending Masters champion, Scottie Scheffler.
“Yeah, well, we’re just alike,” Gronkowski said. “He’s a good guy.”
