The world’s No. 1 Scottie Scheffler ranks 135th in Stokes Gained: Putting. Rory McIlroy ranks 84th.
Despite their struggles with flat-sticks, both players won two times in the 2022-2023 season: Scheffler, at the Players and WM Phoenix Open; McIlroy, at the CJ Cup and Scottish Open.
The total wins could increase if you perform well on the greens. Scheffler has finished in the top five or higher at seven consecutive events, from AT&T Byron Nelson through to Scottish Open. McIlroy has seven consecutive finishes of T-9 and better.
The season could bring four or five victories for either player.
