It can be difficult to manage allergies on the course, especially for professionals.
Ruixin Liu looked like he was having a breeze at the Kroger Queen City Championship on Thursday. The 24-year old from China used a hot putter to climb the leaderboard, finishing at 7 under par despite feeling terrible during the first round of the Kenwood Country Club Championship in Cincinnati, Ohio.
“I made all but the hole number 12,” said Liu, who was still dealing with allergies that hit so hard last week she had to withdraw from the Portland Classic. Liu was still suffering from allergies which had forced her to withdraw last week from the Portland Classic. “That was the only bad shot I made today. My second shot would have been only 18 feet from the hole, and I had to three-putt it.”
Linnea Stor (66) is the leader of the tournament, one shot ahead of the China native, who lives in Orlando.

Liu is the Epson Tour Player-of-the Year for 2019. She stays humble and in the present as she searches for her first LPGA win. Liu, who has made 14 starts so far this season, has missed five cut and withdrawn twice. Her best finish is T-9 in the Dow Great Lakes Bay Invitational from July.
She added, “I don’t think I should expect too much from myself because I don’t feel well physically. I will take a break, sleep well, and do it again tomorrow.”
