Scottie Scheffler and Jon Rahm highlight loaded 2023 American Express field which includes 10 of the top 19 players in the world

Ten of the top 19 world ranking players, five of which are the top seven, have committed to the American Express PGA Tour event at La Quinta in California next week. This is one of the strongest fields of recent memory.

Scottie Scheffler is the current Masters champion and the highest ranked player in The American Express at No. 2. Scheffler is joined at No. 4 Patrick Cantlay (No. 5 Jon Rahm (No. 6 Xander Schauffele and No. 7 Will Zalatoris.

The field includes players ranked 11th to 20th in Official World Golf Ranking. These include Sam Burns and Tom Kim, Cameron Young, Cameron Young, and Sungjae im.
