Scheffler said, “The experience I gained at the Ryder Cup in Wisconsin two years ago is something I’ll never forget. I can’t even wait to recreate it in September.” Scheffler was announced on Wednesday as the first automatic qualifier for the team. “Zach is an incredible leader, and I’m willing to do anything to help him and our team bring back the Ryder Cup to the United States.”

Zach Johnson, the captain of the United States, said: “What more can I add about Scottie?” He’s a great golfer and I know he will perform at the Ryder Cup in a positive manner. It’s great to have him on the U.S. team. The U.S. Team is proud to have the World No. “Team this year”

Scheffler had a great debut season in which he won four tournaments, including the Masters. He also finished fourth four times and made 11 top 10s. The 27-year old has continued the celebrations this season, with two wins and 13 top-five finishes across 20 events.

Scheffler played in his first Ryder Cup in 2020, where he won 2-0-1, including the Sunday singles match against Jon Rahm with a score of 4-3.
