Tiger Woods has had a great week.

It was announced Monday that Rory McIlroy and he would face Justin Thomas and Jordan Spieth in the latest edition Capital One’s The Match. Tuesday saw it reported McIlroy finishing second to Woods at the PGA Tour’s lucrative Player Impact Program in 2022. Woods announced Wednesday that he will be participating in the 2022 Hero World Challenge.

Woods announced the names of the 17 first players to tee off Dec. 4 in Albany, Bahamas. This includes Viktor Hovland (defending champion) and Jordan Spieth (2014). 2 Scottie Scheffler, past champions Jon Rahm (2018) and Hideki Matsuyama (2016), and Jordan Spieth (2014). Woods, Kevin Kisner, and Tommy Fleetwood make up the 20-player field at the event, which benefits Woods’ TGR Foundation, Tavistock Foundation, and the Bahamas Youth Foundation.

Woods, still recovering from a single car accident that almost cost him his leg in a crash, competed in only three events (all majors in 2022. He made the cut at Masters, before withdrawing at the PGA Championship, and missed the Open Championship cut.
