Shane Lowry suffered an equipment mishap during Thursday’s first round of the CJ CUP. The former Open Champion claimed that he had broken his putter at Congaree Golf Club’s 9th hole. However, he did not specify how it happened.
I accidentally broke my putter today on the 9th hole. It took me a full hour to find a replacement. Thank you to Bluffton’s PGA Tour Superstore staff for their assistance. ?? pic.twitter.com/9hpfhDtg1J

Lowry gained 1.6 strokes in his 14th round of the CJ CUP at the time this article was written. This is quite impressive considering that he lost 1.1 strokes on Thursday.
Perhaps Shane should visit the PGA Tour Superstore often.
