The Details: Srixon has updated the Z-Star, Z-Star XV, and Z-Star Diamond golf ball models for 2023 and added premium features. They are used by major winners like Hideki Matsuyama and Keegan Bradley. However, they can be expensive at $47.95 per dozen, so many golfers might not have the means to afford them.

Srixon has an updated Soft Feel ball for value-minded players. Soft Feel is now in its 13th edition. It remains true to its original mission to provide soft feel at impact and distance to players.

Soft Feel features a gradient core. (Srixon)

The core of the two-piece ball is a large FastLayer core. It is very soft in the middle and gradually becomes firmer towards the perimeter. Srixon explained that the core’s gradient firmness makes it easier to compress and snap back into form quickly, which allows for better energy transfer and can generate more distance.

This cover was created with Srixon’s Speed Dimple design. It consists 338 dimples that are arranged to increase stability and decrease drag. The Soft Feel will keep its line through wind better and produce a more piercing flight.

The Soft Feel is available in soft white or tour yellow. The Soft Feel Brite comes in bright red, orange, and green matte finishes.
