“Oh, really? Connelly Eiwerth, a PGA Teaching Professional from Jacksonville said: “That’s awesome!” There aren’t many women (or men) who play in the PGA Tournament Series. But there have been more recently. It’s pretty cool.

It feels great to win. “I have been second quite a few times this year.”

Connelly and Eiswerth both finished with 10 under. Women play 83.7 percent the yardage of men in these events. The men played 6,702 yard at PGA Golf Club while the women played 5614.

Collet said, “It is a pitch and putt golf course.” If I had known the yardage before this week I would have placed a bet that she would win. This is a great compliment. She is that good a player.”

Connelly-Eiswerth: “I knew that a lot of guys would be out hunting.” There were some birdie opportunities. I told them to play as if I was behind and keep chasing.
