The Deep Dive – The promise of driver-like accuracy and distance combined with mini drivers is what has made them so popular. This sounds great, especially for fast-swinging golfers. Hitting tight fairways and gaining distance without sacrificing accuracy can help players stay in position when playing difficult holes. Mini drivers are also a popular option for players that tend to use their driver down and therefore hit their 3-wood with more force than their driver.
TaylorMade created the Original One Mini Driver in 2019 to cater to these players. In 2021, the Carlsbad-based company will release the 300 Mini Driver. The company has now released the BRNR Mini Driver, a club which pays homage the Ti Bubble 2 driver of the mid-1990s. It features a dark finish with copper accents.
