Hedwall/Nordqvist own the record of most appearances with each other, surpassing Cristie/Lexi Thompson, and Moriya/Ariya Jutanugarn who have both eight. Nordqvist & Hedwall are the oldest couple at TPC Harding Park, with an average age 34.

Sweden finished tied with Team USA in their second match, despite winning Pool A. Maja Stark and Madelene Sagstrom converted a 4 foot birdie on the last hole to tie the match with Lexi Thompson & Danielle Kang.

Stark said, “I liked it because I felt like they were mad.” “And that’s funny,” he added of the finish. I really wanted to make the putt. It’s not something I’ve felt before, because everything was about me. But now, I do it to help my team and Sweden. It’s nice to be able come in clutch at the end.

Team USA, the 2016 winners of this event, finished second in pool A and advanced as the fourth team.

Thailand is the only team that hasn’t dropped a game in three days. They finished with six points and lead Pool B. Australia, on the other hand, was second to make it out of this pool.

Patty Tavatanakit, referring to Thailand’s perfect record, said “We played well.” “We deserve it.”

South Korea, the defending champions, won both of their matches against Japan on Saturday to earn their first points in the tournament.

In Gee Chun said, “I’m sorry and disappointed that we won’t be able to play tomorrow, but I know our Korean players are strong.

China, England and South Korea did not advance.

Teams had 15 minutes without captains to decide the pairings of Sunday’s semi-finals. Each matchup will include two singles matches, and one foursomes. The match will be won by the first country to score two points.

Team USA will face Thailand, which is undefeated. Sweden will play Australia. Thompson replied that they would not be thinking about the record of a team who has never lost a match.

Thompson said, “Focus on your own game and do the best you can.” Play aggressive golf but focus on your own attitude and golf. “That’s all we have to do.”
