The Arnold Palmer Cup will be returning to the Red, White and Blue after a difficult experience for the International team.
Team USA won the 2023 event by 32-28, beating the International team in singles at the Laurel Valley Golf Club, Ligonier, Pennsylvania (outside of Pittsburgh). The Internationals won 15.5 out of 24 possible points in singles but that wasn’t enough for them to overtake the lead Team USA built during Friday’s foursomes sessions.
The United States leads the series 14-12-1.
Emilia Migliaccio defeated Lauren Walsh, a Demon Deacon who won the NCAA championship with Wake Forest recently, to earn Team USA its first singles point. Tommy Kuhl of Illinois also beat Georgia Tech’s Christo lamprecht 3-1. Ben James of Virginia and Preston Summerhays, Ashley Menne and Ashley Menne, both from Arizona State, also won their matches to help Team USA win the match.
