Scottie Scheffler learned to putt.
The world’s No. The world No. 1 shot a 7-under-65, with a bogey at the final hole, during the third round 2023 Hero World Challenge. Scheffler was ranked fourth for Strokes Gained, but putting after that had been his Achilles heel the entire season.
What is the result? Scheffler is 16 under par at an event where he finished second the last two years. He has a three shot lead over Matthew Fitzpatrick who is tied with Scheffler on a 7-under-65, and a five-shot advantage over Justin Thomas.
Tiger Woods shot 1-under-par 71 in his second consecutive round .
