SCOTTSDALE (Ariz.) — Ludvig Aberg created PGA Tour History on Monday night.
PGA Tour University was the first in Tour history to offer a PGA Tour membership. It became official after the stroke play concluded at the 2023 NCAA Men’s Golf Championship.
The third PGA Tour University ranking was finalized on Monday. The top 20 golfers were granted status to play on various professional tours. Aberg took home the top prize this year, a brand new perk for PGA Tour U.
The top 5 players in the final PGA Tour U rankings will receive a full exemption to the Korn Ferry Tour for 2023, as well as an exemption to the final stage of Q-School. The top 5 players in the final PGA Tour U rankings will receive a full Korn Ferry Tour membership and an exemption for the 2023 PGA Tour final stage.
Men’s individual NCAA Leaderboard: Team
The players who placed Nos. The top 10 players received conditional Korn Ferry Tour Membership for 2023. They also earned a fully exempt PGA Tour Canada membership for 2023.
Then, Nos. Nos. 11-20 were granted a fully exempt membership to the PGA Tour Canada in 2023. They also received an exemption from the second stage of the PGA TOUR Q-School 2023 presented by Korn Fern, and conditional eligibility for the Latin America Swing 2024 PGA Tour Americas.
The program is intended to simplify the path for college players who wish to progress to the professional ranks, while rewarding those that honor their college obligations. PGA Tour U is only open to players who have played at the NCAA Division I and completed a minimum four-year college career.
