Ludvig Ahrberg, a Texas Tech student, won the 2023 Ben Hogan Award on Monday.
Aberg won the award again in 2022. Jon Rahm is the only other golfer to have won the Ben Hogan Award two times.
The award, which recognizes the best men’s college player based on amateur, collegiate and professional events in the past 12 months, was presented Monday night at Colonial Country Club, Fort Worth.
Aberg became the first golfer to win the Big 12 Conference Championship twice in a row. Aberg also won the Norman Regional last weekend, making him one of only two golfers in Division I to have both a regional and conference title this year.
In Kansas, he won the Big 12 Individual Title at Prairie Dunes by eight shots and a tournament record 15-under-par score of 265. This season, he also won college titles at The Prestige and the Valspar College. He finished in the top 10 of all nine tournaments on the year and had a stroke average of 68.46.
