The 2023 Solheim Cup is fast approaching.
Stacy Lewis, the U.S. captain, made three captain’s selections Monday after European captain Suzann Petersen announced four of her captain’s choices last week. Her 12-player team will be heading to Finca Cortesin, Andalucia in Spain from Sept. 22-24. The team is made up of the seven top-ranked players from the U.S. Solheim Cup, the two top-ranked players in Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings (not eligible for the U.S. Solheim Cup) and three captain’s choices.
The Americans have won 10 times. Their most recent victory was in 2017 at Des Moines Golf and Country Club, Iowa. Meanwhile, the Europeans will be looking to win their third consecutive match and eighth overall.
