The 33rd Men’s World Amateur Team Championship is here.
The Emirates Golf Federation is hosting the 2023 World Amateur Team Championships. The women’s and men’s championships, originally scheduled to take place in Dubai, have been moved to Abu Dhabi. They will be contested on the National Course of the Abu Dhabi Golf Club.
The order of play in the championships for men and women has been reversed. This is to avoid conflicts with other prestigious events. Therefore, the men will compete first, while the women battle it out the following week.
The event dates back to 1958 and this will be the first time it is held in the Middle East. The event will also be the first to have a smaller scope, with only one golf course and just 36 teams. This was approved by the IGF at its 2018 biennial meeting.
The 2023 Men’s World Amateur Team Championship is a must-see event.
