Ryder Cup Europe released early numbers on Tuesday that showed an increase in Sky Sports’ average viewership, especially in the United Kingdom. This was a 38 percent rise compared to 2021 Ryder Cup, at Whistling Straits, and a 25% increase from Le Golf National, near Paris, where the last European Cup hosted the Cup in 2018.

The coverage of Friday’s foursomes matches began just two hours after the match started. ET at the beginning were already tired of the coverage (or the lack thereof).
The USA Network broadcast, which aired on the network, missed the introductions of Shane Lowry and Sepp Straka vs. Rickie Morikawa and Collin Morikawa in the third match. Instead it showed more advertisements than golf shots. The broadcast this year featured a scorebug in the bottom-right corner of the screen, which showed matches and results live. It was a great innovation, but the coverage did not provide context as to how the scores were determined.
The 45th Ryder Cup will take place at Bethpage Black, New York, in 2025. It is the biennial match between the U.S.A. and Europe.
