The Ryder Cup will begin on Friday, but the team is already working hard to prepare.
This year’s biennial clash between the United States of America and Europe will look very different from the 19-9 thrashing we saw just two years ago in Whistling Straits.
The old European guard, Sergio Garcia and Ian Poulter, are gone. In their place, a new generation of talent has emerged, including Ludvig berg, winner of the European Masters in early May.
Zach Johnson, the U.S. Captain, is looking to world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler, Patrick Cantlay, Xander Schauffele and a host of other American stars for a victory on home turf. Luke Donald, who is a seven-time veteran, is hoping that Rory McIlroy will lead on his own soil. Scottie Scheffler and Patrick Cantlay are among the American stars who will be battling it out to bring home Team USA’s 1st Cup in Europe since 1992.
