CASARES (Spain) — Following a morning foursomes match at the 2023 Solheim Cup, the pairings have been set. Both captains have chosen their fourballs for the afternoon.
Stacy Lewis, the U.S. Captain, stayed true to what she said that no one would play in all five matches. She has again rotated her team to include all twelve players on Day 2, at Finca Cortesin along Spain’s south coast.
Suzann Petersen, the European captain, has again chosen to sit a player out of both sessions on the same day. Gemma Drybrugh is now well rested and ready for the Sunday singles matches after being snubbed again. Caroline Hedwall, the Blue-and-Yellow assistant captain Anna Nordqvist, and Caroline Hedwall, will be making their first appearances for Team Europe this week.
Europe barely edges out the U.S. by 54-51-22 in all-time Fourball Play.
The Solheim Cup 2023 fourth session matches will feature four matches, eight players riding the pine pony and the pairings for each match. Note: Spain is six-hours ahead of Eastern Time.
