The best amateur women golfers in the world are ready to compete for one of the oldest golf trophies.
The 2023 U.S. Women’s Amateur begins Monday at Bel-Air Country Club, Los Angeles. The 156 players will play 36 holes in stroke play before the 64 best players move on to match play which starts Wednesday.

The 123rd U.S. Women’s Amateur will take place in 2018. It began in 1895. The championship received a record number of 1,679 entries.
Sunday, August 13 is the date for the final.
