The 2023 U.S. Women’s Open in Pebble Beach will not feature many of the top names.

PEBBLE BEACH (Calif.) — A relative unknown American rookie leads the field in the 78th U.S. Women’s Open while a host of top names have left Pebble Beach Golf Links early after a historic week. World No. 1 Jin Young Ko.

Ko had 18 of his 36 rounds in this season scored 60s. Nobody could have predicted the opening 79.

Round 2, the average score of 76.07, which was 75.5 in Round 1, grew to 76.07. The cut was made at 6 over. 74 players advanced to the weekend.

Bailey Tardy leads the field with 7 under par, and only six players finished the first two rounds below par.
