The Walker Cup, one of the most prestigious amateur men’s competitions in the World, is about to begin.
The 49th Walker Cup will take place on Sept. 2-3, at the Old Course in St. Andrews. The Walker Cup is an amateur team competition between Great Britain and Ireland and the United States. The Old Course is the only venue to have hosted eight Walker Cups. Most recently, in 1975, USA beat GB&I by 15 1/2-8 1/2.
