SCOTTSDALE (Ariz.) — The WM Phoenix Open ranks fifth on the PGA Tour’s oldest tournaments. It will be its 88th year of playing, and its 36th time on TPC Scottsdale’s Stadium Course.

In an attempt to stop LIV Golf League’s rise, the PGA Tour has increased the prize money. In 2022, the purse for Phoenix Open was $9 million. It is more than twice as much in 2023.
