AVONDALE, La. Beau Hossler, Wyndham C. Clark and their families have been friends since they were ten years old. But that doesn’t make it a partnership of years.
The players were paired up together in the first two rounds of Los Angeles’ Genesis Invitational, even though neither had a partner for the Zurich Classic of New Orleans.
Hossler explained, “We were kind of talking it out, and after the first two day, we said, let’s just play together.”
This decision has so far paid off. Clark, 29, Hossler 28 carded an bogey free 5-under 67 at TPC Louisiana in foursomes to take the 36-hole leader.
Hossler stated, “We didn’t make any errors but neither did we do anything crazy.” It was a very clean round.
The pair has been bogey free this week and are now 16-under 128 – one stroke ahead of their closest competitors. Hossler made a crazy move on Friday when he buried a 60-foot putt for a birdie at the fourth. They kept the rest of their game pretty simple.
Clark explained, “I will hit it pretty hard off the tee then he has a wedge that he stacks.” It’s been pretty easy.”

Hossler was not bothered by the fact that play had to be suspended for three hours due to bad weather.
“I was really happy about it. “I was very happy that I didn’t have to play at the time,” he said.
The Big Easy has not only been a great place to play golf, but also for the team Clark-Hossler to enjoy the food. Hossler stated that Clark is the director of the food and beverage department since the team arrived in New Orleans.
Hossler stated, “We have been to some great spots.” After tonight [Friday], we’ll have visited the four best restaurants in town. It’s been really awesome.
