The public-access Landmand Golf Club, in Homer (Nebraska), the first 18-hole layout designed by King-Collins Golf Course Design opened for regular play on Sept. 3, 2022. It was met with a warm reception, and the word has spread fast.
“For our first full-season in 2023, we sold out within two and half months,” said Adam Fletcher, general manager of Golf Business News.
It was only a warm up.
He said that “this year, it was closer to two and a quarter hours.”

Landmand was built atop bluffs, dunes and geologic terrain in the Loess Hills. This extreme and wide-open landscape had views that stretched for miles. Collins and King said they went to great lengths to make the most of all that was offered by the site. This included its 150-foot elevation change.
The scale will blow your mind the first time you see them. Every time I am out there, it makes me laugh. Collins said that “things that would be huge in real life shrink to a fraction of their size in this landscape”.
