The summer is upon us, which means it’s time to get ready for the sunniest and hottest days of the entire year.
You need sun protection whether it is 80 degrees or 120, to prevent sunburns, skin cancer and UV damage.
John Hopkins Medicine recommends that exposed skin be protected with a water-resistant sunblock of at least 30 SPF every two hours. Also, they recommend lip balm with 15 SPF. It is good to apply sunscreen both before and after you hit the tee.
Many brands offer breathable long-sleeved shirts and pants. Wearing sleeves/pants will help you avoid overexposure during the golf season.
