Boston Common Golf announced its four-player lineup of McIlroy (at left), Keegan Bradly (at right), Tyrrell Hatton (at center) and Adam Scott at the start of Thursday’s morning. Justin Thomas, (Atlanta), and Colleen Morikawa, (Los Angeles), were the first players to sign a contract with a golf team.

Bradley’s signing to the Boston team is a logical move, given his Northeast ties. The six-time PGA Tour champion and 2011 PGA Champion grew up Vermont and briefly resided in a Boston suburban area in high school.

McIlroy is the world’s No. McIlroy, the world No. 2, is a four time major champion. He has also won 27 times on the PGA Tour. Two of these wins were in the Boston region at the former Deutsche Bank Championship held annually at TPC Boston, Norton, Massachusetts, from 2003-18.

Hatton, with his fiery personality, would be a good fit for Boston. Not to mention that the six-time European Tour champion and 2020 Arnold Palmer Invitational winner has a close relationship with McIlroy because of their time together on three European Ryder Cup Teams.

Scott has won 14 times on the Tour, including 2003 Deutsche Bank Championships, 2004 Players Championships and 2013 Masters.

The first TGL match will air on ESPN in 2024. can be found here for more information on the league format.
