Match play is underway at the fall college golf event in Dallas.
The stroke play for the 2023 Jackson T. Stephens Cup ended Tuesday at Trinity Forest Golf Club. Arizona junior Tiger Christensen won the men’s medalist, while Texas’ Lauren Kim tied with Texas A&M Adela Cernousek after 54 holes. The two played three playoff holes before the darkness set in on Tuesday evening. They will return to crown an individual women’s champion Wednesday morning.
This event, now in its third season, is named after the late Jackson Stephens who was a prominent Arkansas businessman and chairman of Augusta National Golf Club. The event features 54 holes in stroke play, followed by a match play final where the two top teams will compete for the team title. A third place match is between the third and fourth placed teams.
