In just three months, the United States will not only defend their Cup title against Europeans but also win on foreign soil for the first time in 30 years.
The 2023 Ryder Cup will be held at the Marco Simone Golf and Country Club, Rome, Italy. The teams have begun to form.
The qualification period for Team Europe started at the BMW PGA Championship in 2022 and ended on September 3, 2023, just three weeks before Ryder Cup. Six players are automatically qualified, three on a European Points List (EPL) and three on a World Points List. Luke Donald then announces his six captains’ picks. Keith Pelley, CEO of the DP World Tour, said that LIV Golfers can still be selected to represent Team Europe but qualifying may prove difficult.
