Two neighbors were playing golf in the Milwaukee suburb of Glendale, Wisconsin when they saw an arrest taking place in a porta-potty.

Two people were arrested Wednesday after four occupants fled a vehicle which crashed into several other vehicles on North Port Washington Road. Glendale Police said the vehicle was stolen from Plymouth Minnesota.

Glendale Police Captain Tom Treder said that a Glendale officer first noticed the stolen SUV traveling south along North Port Washington Road at around 11:15 a.m. on Wednesday. Tom Treder confirmed the report. The SUV took off as the officer approached it.

A police officer further down on the road placed tire deflation devices onto the pavement. The vehicle swerved in order to avoid them, crossing into the northbound lanes on Port Washington Road. It then struck another car and careened across the median before hitting a barrier adjacent Interstate 43.

The four occupants of the vehicle fled, two to the east and two to the west. They ran across the Lincoln Park Golf Course. Glendale Police arrested one of the suspects that ran east. Ilissa Bolan and Adam Westermayer, two Whitefish Bay residents, were playing golf when they heard a loud crash along Port Washington Road. Boland said that a few minutes after the crash, two people ran past them.

One of the suspects fled west and ran toward the woods next to the course. She said the other suspect made a beeline for a port-a potty nearby.

We’re both looking at eachother like, “Are you kidding? Boland, an area realtor, said: “That’s where he will hide?”

Westermayer approached a porta-potty as the golfers watched an approaching police car. Boland explained that he opened the locked door and then pushed it to the side, trapping the suspect in the toilet.

Westermayer walked away saying, “Good luck to you.”

Glendale Police said that when officers arrived on the scene they turned the portable toilet upside down, allowing him to crawl out and be taken into custody.

The authorities are still looking for the two other suspects that fled the SUV.
