It’s been almost 25 years since LPGA and PGA Tour have teamed up for a mixed-team event. With the addition of Grant Thornton Invitational, this will change in December.
The PGA Tour’s Valspar Championship concludes Sunday at Innisbrook Resort, Palm Harbor, Florida. There are many fond memories for many of the great players who played there during the JCPenney Classic in 1978. The two tours have held mixed-team events since 1960.
