Thailand dominated the eight-country field in the fourth Hanwha International Crown with a 11-1-0 record. The $2 million prize money is unofficial. The winning team gets $500,000 or $125,000 for each player.
The 32 players on the field represented the following countries: United States of America, South Korea Japan, England, Thailand Australia and China.
It was the first time Thailand, Australia and New Zealand reached the finals.
The team was seeded 6th coming into this week, and boasted a lineup that included three major titles as well as two former World No. 1s: Ariya Jutanugarn, Moriya Jutanugarn, Patty Tavatanakit and Atthaya Thitikul.
The event is intended to be held every two years. The next edition, in 2025, has not yet been announced.
