Even pros can make mistakes when it comes down to correctly applying rules. A player can make a costly error when under pressure or high stakes.
The U.S. Golf Association’s official Rules of Golf contains 25 rules. The official Rules of Golf of the Golf Association. There are additional explanations of specific situations within each rule. The rules include 70 terms such as “abnormal condition of the course” or “teeing zone.”
Golfers may know some of the rules, but not all.
