LOS ANGELES – The drama and intensity at Bel-Air Country Club grew in a big manner on Wednesday.
The 2023 U.S. Women’s Amateur has moved to match play and started the day early with a 10-for-9-point playoff. The bracket was set in just two holes, and match play began.
The weather on Wednesday was a mix of all kinds. The weather was a mix of sun and clouds in the midday, with a few showers in the afternoon. The rain did not dampen the excitement of the match play Round of 64, as many matches went to extra holes, and there were plenty of upsets.

Thienna Hüyhn, who was the 12th seed and won the U.S. Junior Girls’ just three weeks earlier, defeated Kiara Romero. Only two of the top ten seeds were eliminated, but there are still plenty of Hollywood stars.
