The Seaside Course at Sea Island is one of two courses that will be in play this week for the RSM Classic on PGA Tour. The popular resort’s Plantation course is also included in the first two rounds. Each player will compete on one round of each course before weekend play shifts to the Seaside Course, St. Simons Island.
In 1929, famed architects Harry S. Colt & Charles Alison laid out the Seaside Course. It was then redesigned by Tom Fazio for 1999. It will be 7,005 yards in length with a par 70 for the RSM Classic. Plantation Course, which was renovated by Davis Love III and Mark in 2019, will play to 7,060 meters with a par 72.
The Seaside Course is ranked No. The Seaside Course is the No. 1 public-access layout of Georgia. 83 on Golfweek’s Best List of Modern Courses Since 1960 in the U.S. The Plantation Course is No. 7 public-access track in Georgia.
