Kapalua’s Plantation Course is the site of the 2023 Sentry Tournament of Champions, which takes place on the PGA Tour. It was constructed in 1991 by Bill Coore & Ben Crenshaw, the famed architecture duo.
Golfweek’s Best ranked the mountainous layout as No. There are 2 public-access layouts in Hawaii, and there are ties for No. 37 of all modern courses constructed since 1960 in America. The course has spectacular ocean views and some of the highest elevation changes on Tour. was extensively renovated in 2019.
Plantation measures 7,596 yards with a par of 72 and only one par three on the back nine. The course is often shorter than its yardage because of the numerous downhill tee shots, and the possibility that drives can roll out to 400 yards.
