Finishing in the No. 1 spot in PGA Tour University has one of the best perks available in golf: a PGA Tour card for a recently graduated college golfer.
In the latest rankings update for the Class of 2024, there’s a new No. 1 for the first time since the preseason rankings were announced last summer. And it’s a familiar name who towers above most of his competition.
In partnership with the World Amateur Golf Ranking, PGA Tour U ranks players based on the last two years of their collegiate careers. Eligible tournaments include NCAA Division I men’s team competitions, official PGA Tour tournaments and select DP World Tour events. The ranking period for the Class of 2024 began Week 23/2022 and concludes May 27, 2024, following the final round of stroke play at the NCAA D-I men’s national championship.
The No. 1 player in the final PGA Tour U ranking in May will earn Tour membership, while Nos. 2-5 (fully exempt) and Nos. 6-10 (conditional) will earn Korn Ferry Tour membership. Additionally, players Nos. 6-25 will earn fully exempt membership for PGA Tour Americas.
Here’s a look at the PGA Tour University rankings with three months remaining in the season.
