The Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill Club & Lodge is the third of four prestigious events that will take place over a five-week period.
Jon Rahm is still leading the leaderboard, and he’s not a new name. To take a two shot lead into Friday, the Spaniard opened with a 7 under 65.
After three consecutive birdies at Nos. Rahm made a par-4 8th to complete the turn at 2-under 34. To keep the momentum going, he birdied the par-5 12th and then drained a long par effort on the par-4 15.
His flat stick was hot at the par-5 16th, with a 24-footer to eagle to push him nose even with early leaders Chris Kirk or Cameron Young.
A massive 7-iron into the par-3 17th resulted in a kick-in birdie, and 6 under.
He birdied the par-4 after another laser iron shot within 10 feet.
Amazing finish by @JonRahmpga, as he signs for a 7 under 65. As the day winds down, he leads by 2.

It’s not clear that anyone will be able contain the “Rahmpage”. I’m sorry, but I’ll get out.
