Tickets for the Chevron Championship are on sale now. This championship will be held at The Club At Carlton Woods in The Woodlands Texas. Prices for practice rounds start at $20, and children under 17 years old are free. For $40, you can get a weekend pass for the grounds.
No. 1 in the World The Jack Nicklaus Signature course at Carlton Woods will host the event. 1 Lydia Ko and No. 2 Nelly Korda missed last year’s event due to a blood clot.
Korda released, “Missing it last year was so difficult,” and said, “so I’m definitely excited to play this year.” This season is exciting, as well as the first major at The Chevron Championship in April. I also look forward to a strong major season. I’m excited to visit The Woodlands to see the course at Carlton Woods.
After calling Mission Hills Country Club, Rancho Mirage, California home for over five decades, the 52nd edition will take place in Houston, Texas, from April 20 to 23. Officials at the tournament report that a record number have applied for volunteer positions. Chevron is the title sponsor for the second year.
“The level of engagement in the community has been extremely encouraging before our first edition here at The Woodlands,” stated Jeremy Harvey-Samuel (IMG’s Championship Director).
“The speed with which volunteer committees were filled and the number of local residents who offered to host players for the week have exceeded our expectations.”
LPGA will host events in Asia, Thailand, and Singapore before hosting its first domestic full-field event in Arizona at March’s end. Three domestic full-field events are planned for the next stage of the tour, and they will be held before the first major.
There were also early confirmations of Jennifer Kupcho (defending champion), Mirim Lee (2020), Jin Young Ko (1999) and Stacy Lewis (2011).
