Tiger Woods was back in PGA Tour action on Thursday. We hope for more on Friday.
This week, the 82-time Tour winner returned to competition at his Genesis Invitational at Riviera Club. It is a designated event on the revised Tour schedule and features a $20m purse and top prize worth $3.6 million. Woods, who was playing alongside Justin Thomas and Rory McIlroy for the first two rounds of the tournament, birdied the final three holes Thursday to record a 2-under-par 69. This put him in a position to make it to the weekend cut.
