People who are eagerly awaiting Tiger Woods’ return to the spotlight will have to be patient.
Woods made it clear via social media that he would not be participating in this week’s Hero World Challenge, which he hosted.
The 82-time PGA Tour winner stated that he has plantar fasciitis which makes it difficult to walk.
Plantar fascia is the thick connective tissue that supports arch support from the heel to the midfoot bones. The plantar fascia is an inflamed tissue that supports the arch of the foot from the heel to the bones in the midfoot.

Woods is still recovering from a single car accident that almost cost him his leg. He competed in three major events in 2022. He made the cut at Masters and PGA Championships (where he withdrew later), and missed the Open Championship cut. Woods stated that he plans to continue playing in the Match and the PNC Championship with Charlie.
Woods was replaced by Sepp Straka in the Hero field.
