Tiger Woods returns to the spotlight this week.
The 15-time major winner returns this week to compete at the 2023 Hero World Challenge in Albany, Bahamas. This is his first time on the course since withdrawing from the 2023 Master after making the cut this spring.
The Hero World Challenge, a tournament that Woods hosts to benefit his TGR Foundation, is a non official PGA Tour event. It features a group of 20 of golf’s best players, including Scottie Schaffler, Justin Thomas and Jordan Spieth. Max Homa and Viktor Hovland are also in the field.
Woods did not participate in the Hero season last year due to plantar faciitis in his right leg. Woods is a five-time Hero champion. He won the last time in 2011, and has also finished as runner-up five times.
